An Illinois couple has filed a personal injury lawsuit against a snowboarder who allegedly caused a collision during a ski run at the Snowmass Ski Area in Colorado.
Bryan Willmer claims in the lawsuit that, as he was skiing down a trail in February, snowboarder Abraham Zimroth, coming from uphill, collided with him at a high speed. Willmer said that he suffered severe injuries from the accident, including a broken leg and broken collarbone.
According to the complaint, which was recently filed in district court, the uphill skier has a duty to avoid collision and to maintain control of speed and course - duties which Zimroth allegedly failed to perform.
The Willmers are seeking in excess of $75,000 in damages.
