Ann M. Scafidi, age 49, from Storrs, CT, was injured Monday night when the motorcycle she was riding was hit from the back by a car. She was riding on I-84 in Danbury, CT at the time of the accident. She has been taken to Danbury hospital, where she is being treated for a reportedly very serious accident.

The driver who struck her was Michael Martin, age 41, of Terryville, CT. He originally left the scene of the accident, but police were able to find him in Bethel. He was also taken to the Danbury hospital, although police says his injury is not as serious as Scafidi’s.
